About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Accounting & Bookkeeping associate to join our team in our New York office. Reporting to the Director of Finance which is located at our headquarters this is a true hybrid role that blends hands-on bookkeeping with core accounting responsibilities. This position is responsible for day-to-day transaction processing while also participating in month-end close reconciliations compliance and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate thrives in an environment where they can roll up their sleeves to ensure transactional accuracy yet also step back to apply accounting principles and process ownership. This role requires close collaboration with multiple finance stakeholders including Accounting Payroll Procurement and Billing Operations.
What you will be doing:
Bookkeeping & Daily Operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records in the companys ERP/accounting system (Netsuite).
- Record and reconcile bank credit card and payment platform transactions.
- Process accounts payable (AP) including vendor onboarding invoice coding approvals and payments.
- Process accounts receivable (AR) tasks such as invoice creation customer payment tracking and collections follow-ups.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and support asset capitalization.
- Work closely with the Global Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and recording.
- Prepare and validate payroll inputs and variable compensation (bonuses&commissions).
Accounting & Month-End Close
- Prepare journal entries accruals and reconciliations for month-end and year-end close.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g. cash prepaid accruals intercompany).
- Support consolidation activities where applicable.
- Ensure accurate classification under the companys revenue recognition and expense policies.
Taxes & Compliance
- Support external audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Assist with income and sales tax statutory reporting in coordination with external consultants.
Your skills and experience:
- A well-versed accounting professional with 5 years of experience covering varied roles and subject matter areas in the B2B tech space
- 3 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping
- Full cycle AP and AR - must
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (USGAAP)
- Understanding in US payroll and employee health insurance plan administration
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working cross-functionally with other departments to drive value to the business
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred

- Expected salary range is $115000-$125000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on the candidates qualifications experience and other relevant factors.
