Manager Compliance & Regional Compliance Officer APAC in Singapore to join our Group Compliance team in Nestes Legal & Compliance unit.

Nestes Group Compliance team drives and further develops Nestes compliance program and culture and supports the establishment and development of group wide compliance processes and awareness efforts.

Your main responsibilities are

You will play a key role in driving and developing our compliance program and embedding it in our business especially in the defined responsibility areas. Your main responsibilities include

  • Assuming the role of the Regional Compliance Officer for APAC and being the first point of contact for compliance topics in the area.
  • Driving compliance topics in the APAC area and providing advice and support to Nestes business organisations and functions concerning compliance risks and topics as well as general compliance culture.

  • Driving and supporting the development of Nestes group wide compliance processes and together with the Group Compliance team Nestes compliance program especially in the areas of the Anti-Corruption Program counterparty risks and general compliance culture.

  • Compliance awareness and training efforts including management reporting in APAC and information sharing via Nestes compliance reporting structure. Member of the Global Privacy Network

  • HR compliance support as in-house legal advisor on local labour legislation and Neste HR policies in APAC;

  • Supporting Nestes misconduct investigation process in APAC including support to HR compliance team. Conducting investigations and imparting such skills to leaders and HR

You will work closely with other Neste functions and business stakeholders to support the establishment and development of compliance processes and information sharing procedures to enable proper compliance risk management.You will report to Nestes Chief Compliance Officer based in Espoo Finland and you will be based in Singapore.

The best combination to success in this role

  • Masters degree in law
  • Preferably at least 5 years of work experience from a law firm or relevant industrial companies
  • Passion for compliance topics in general and experience in developing compliance processes and programs.
  • Prior experience in anti-corruption regulations counterparty risk topics and employment law topics and training such topics is required. Prior experience in development of risk management processes is considered an advantage
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperating within a global organisation
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills interpersonal skills and excellent command of English
  • High integrity combined with a solution-minded approach to compliance matters and a genuine desire to proactively collaborate with key stakeholders. Ability to strive in high-intensity project work.
