Job Description

High Voltage Estimator Join a Tier 1 Electrical Contractor Full-Time Permanent

Star Group is seeking a highly skilled HV Estimator to join our team in Condell Park. The primary focus of this role is estimating high-voltage and public infrastructure projects.

This role also presents an opportunity for a secondary focus in either HV project delivery or LV estimating depending on experience and capability. This is a unique opportunity to join a company with a strong track record of delivering high-quality electrical projects.

The Role:

As an HV Estimator you will play a critical role in accurately assessing project costs and preparing tender submissions that meet client and internal expectations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying project cost requirements and ensuring accurate estimation
  • Liaising with suppliers subcontractors clients and internal stakeholders
  • Preparing and delivering high-quality tender submissions within tight deadlines
  • Utilising Star Groups estimating systems and processes effectively
  • Reviewing estimates with management before submission to ensure accuracy
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies procedures and Australian and electricity supply authoritystandards

High Voltage Tendering Scope:

Youll have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of major HV projects including:

  • Private HV projects (typically $1.5M-$5M)
  • Data Centres - powering up digitally
  • Water sector - supporting sustainable communities
  • Rail/Metro projects - keep our cities moving seamlessly
  • Health projects - delivering critical services to people
  • We also work on ASP1 projects (typically $500K-$3M)
  • Chamber Substations & Kiosk Substations
  • High voltage customer connections

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Electrical trade qualifications and relevant electrical experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in HV roles and electrical estimating
  • Experience tendering and/or delivering ASP1 and private HV projects
  • Proven experience in construction electrical estimating and tender preparation
  • Strong proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of bid and tender processes with the ability to meet client requirements
  • Familiarity with any or all NSW public electricity supply authority (Ausgrid Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy) network standardswill be viewed favourably
