About the Opportunity
Augustine Angels LLC a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to support the Indian Health Service at the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center in Sisseton SD. This is a non-personal services contract role meaning you will remain part of our companys professional team while serving an IHS facility that delivers care to Native American communities.
This is an exciting chance to provide meaningful healthcare support underserved populations and gain federal contracting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide rehabilitation services for patients with acute and chronic conditions (post-stroke orthopedic neurological musculoskeletal etc.)
- Develop implement and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Document all patient encounters using Electronic Health Records (EHR) in compliance with IHS policies
- Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family education including written home treatment programs
- Participate in quality improvement activities peer reviews and staff development as required
- Adhere to professional standards patient rights confidentiality and cultural sensitivity
Qualifications
Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Active unrestricted Physical Therapy license in at least one U.S. state or territory
Minimum 1 year of PT experience within the past 36 months
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Up-to-date immunizations (Hep B MMR Varicella Tdap Flu COVID) current PPD
Ability to pass a federal background investigation and fingerprint check
Preferred Experience
- Previous work with tribal health IHS or rural communities
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and patient-centered care approach
