Position Summary:
V-Tech Solutions Inc. is seeking dependable and detail-oriented General Clerk II candidates to support administrative operations in Washington DC. The General Clerk II performs a variety of clerical tasks requiring familiarity with office terminology and procedures and exercises judgment in selecting appropriate methods for task completion.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certification: None required
- Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with office terminology and administrative procedures
Ability to follow varied clerical steps and adapt procedures as needed
Basic computer skills and experience with office equipment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and refer complex issues appropriately
Effective communication and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed procedures to complete repetitive clerical tasks such as coding and filing documents
- Post entries to individual and departmental accounts
- Open sort and distribute incoming mail
- Calculate and post charges to departmental accounts
- Operate standard office equipment including photocopiers fax machines multiline phone systems and mailing machines
- Use basic computer programs for data entry and document processing
- Apply judgment in selecting procedures and resolving routine issues
- Refer recognized problems to supervisors or designated personnel
- Maintain organized filing systems and support general office operations
