Health Science Program Clinical Coordinator/Placement Manager:
Role:
The Health Science Program Clinical Coordinator/Placement Manager is responsible for the coordination of clinical schedules across the Health Sciences Division. This position serves as the primary liaison between faculty students and clinical artners ensuring that all clinical placement requirements agency affiliation agreements and clearance processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The role also includes oversight of simulation schedules and continuous improvement of clinical placement operations.
The salary range of $20.69 to $31.04 per hour.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
20% Clinical Agency Liaison & Placement Coordination
- Communicate positively with Health Sciences faculty and clinical agencies to develop clinical placements.
- Submit clinical placement requests or letters to agencies confirm placement approval and determine student capacity at each site.
- Identify facility-specific requirements (e.g. agency paperwork) and communicate expectations to faculty and students.
- Submit attestation letters and other necessary paperwork as required.
- Communicate any changes in placements promptly to faculty students and administration.
30% Clinical Scheduling
- Collaborate with Program Directors and Coordinators to produce clinical schedules for each cohort.
- Collaborate with faculty and lab coordinator to coordinate simulation schedule.
- Determine the number of students to be assigned to each clinical section and agency.
- Align start and end dates within the clinical schedule for each level.
- Submit finalized class sections to clinical agencies before each semester.
Clearance Processes:
- Provide due dates for clinical clearance (e.g. immunizations CPR certification agency paperwork).
- Attend clinical orientation for each level and section of students at the instructors request.
- Attend and participate in all new health programs student orientations.
- Attend Health Program Advisory Committee meetings.
10% Records & Compliance Oversight:
- Assist clinical faculty with review of immunization and CPR records housed in the compliance management system.
- Monitor compliance deadlines communicate with students regarding expiring or overdue requirements and ensure the compliance management system reflects the latest agency requirements.
10% Continuous Improvement & Policy Review:
- Collaborate internally to improve clinical placement and clearance processes.
5% Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive clinical placement spreadsheet/management system for faculty and affiliated partners each semester.
- Monitor health programs faculty compliance with required health screenings and immunizations.
- Submit/Obtain/Document clinical affiliation agreements/contracts by due date.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience including experience in the application of educational research methodologies.
- Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
- Interpersonal Skills: High level of trust diplomacy and professionalism required. Must be able to motivate and influence others often in sensitive or high-stakes situations. Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other Skills: The Clinical Coordinator/Placement Manager is expected to pursue ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance their professional instructional and administrative skills. Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Responsible for placing and clearing over 500 students in clinical experiences each semester. Responsible for tracking and maintaining 150 clinical affiliation agreements.
- Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However there may be some walking standing bending carrying of light items driving an automobile etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work.
- Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
