Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Regional Clinical Pharmacy Director:
- Reviewing and documenting the accuracy of prescription drugs that have been received from the dispensing pharmacy
- Accountable for executing quality assurance checks and documentation that prescriptions are filled correctly
- Serve as a liaison between the dispensing pharmacy and the ADCCR
- Identify and implement roles of inventory coordinators and pharmacy technicians
- Establish continue quality improvement initiatives and will participate in P&T meetings
- Maintain consistent contact with physicians mid-levels nursing regional site administration and client partners to communicate the pharmaceutical needs of all patients
- Ensure seamless operation of pharmacy services
- Serve an integral leadership role as HCV Committee member with the responsibility of identifying and addressing pharmacy-related issues related to HIV HCV HBV Mental Health Diabetes and Asthma
- Consistently ensure health plans and daily operations comply with policies procedures and standards
- Maintain accurate and updated records of pharmacy services therapy reports and pertinent information
- Conduct thorough monthly and quarterly audits of facilities to ensure proper handling of prescription medication and compliance with state/federal regulations policies and procedures
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Regional Clinical Pharmacy Director:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited school
- Unrestricted Pharmacy License in AZ
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive pharmacy experience; management of pharmacy operations experience preferred
- A valid CPR or equivalent certificate
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Strong computer skills
