Position Summary::The Advancement Officer is a key member of Carroll Schools Advancement team and will help to meet increasing opportunities and demands heading into a comprehensive capital campaign. They are responsible for working closely with a portfolio of Carroll donors towards a goal of increasing the number of gifts donors and revenue for Carroll School. This is a frontline fundraising position with significant time expected in face to face or Zoom/phone ideal candidate is a proactive and relational fundraiser with the desire and potential to solicit leadership and legacy gifts. The Advancement Officer will report to the Director of Leadership Giving and work closely with the six other members of the Advancement team the Head of School Advancement volunteers and colleagues across Carroll.
Responsibilities:- Frontline Fundraising and Donor Relations (70%)
- Manage a portfolio of donors/prospects and achieve at least 120 visits/substantive contacts annually. Visits will be focused on building relationships sharing school fundraising priorities and soliciting Annual Fund and Legacy gifts.
- Collaborate with the Advancement team to ensure timely and meaningful stewardship for all gifts including personalized acknowledgements and impact reports.
- Program Support (20%)
- Provide project management and administrative support to the Executive Director of Advancement and Director of Leadership Giving related to campaign initiatives (events communications donor meetings and gift/visit tracking).
- Oversee internal donor tracking and moves management in the Raisers Edge NXT database
Community Engagement (10%)- Represent the Advancement team at key school events and other community activities to build relationships across Carroll.
- Build strong working relationships with faculty and administrators to stay informed on school priorities.
- Act as a visible and enthusiastic ambassador for the schools mission vision and strategic objectives.
