Job Title: QA Associate/Analyst 3 Quality Assurance & Testing

Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (excluding State holidays)

Position Overview

We are seeking a QA Associate/Analyst 3 with deep expertise in quality assurance and testing for large-scale applications. This role involves developing and executing test scripts managing UAT efforts identifying and tracking defects and ensuring alignment with business requirements in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical detail-oriented and skilled in both manual and automated testing across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and diagnose quality complaints track down components and recommend corrective actions.
  • Verify logs databases and other data sources to identify and track quality concerns.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Prepare UAT test cases align with business requirements and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders.
  • Track test execution progress provide reporting and manage traceability matrices.
  • Log and track defects in Jira ensuring clear documentation and prioritization.
  • Support development test and UAT environments; troubleshoot defects as needed.
  • Collaborate with Agile scrum teams to deliver software release sprints on time with a focus on quality.
  • Perform multiple testing types including unit integration regression smoke UAT stress and performance.
  • Conduct API testing using Postman SOAPUI JMETER or similar tools.
  • Apply SQL queries to perform CRUD operations.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews provide go/no-go recommendations and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Support performance testing by creating/reviewing scripts and analyzing results.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8 years experience in writing and executing test cases and creating test plans.
  • 8 yearsknowledge of usability concepts requirements traceability and the SDLC process.
  • 8 yearsworking with Xray Test Case management tool.
  • 8 yearswriting SQL queries for CRUD operations.
  • 8 years experience with CI/CD pipelines to enhance testing processes.
  • 8 yearsconducting API testing using Postman SOAPUI JMETER or similar tools.
  • 8 years experience in automation testing and scripting using UFT.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Experience with code coverage tools process/systems analysis and design work.
  • Prior experience with the State of Texas HHS agency and systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
  • Self-driven adaptable and able to manage multiple projects independently.
