Position Purpose: As an Apprentice in the Linux Engineering team you will gain hands-on experience in managing large-scale enterprise infrastructure that powers global financial markets. This role exists to provide you with foundational exposure to Linux system administration automation practices and cloud technologies while supporting the team in maintaining resilient secure and innovative IT operations.

Primary duties will include:

• Learning and applying basics of Linux operating systems including commands services logs and system monitoring.
• Gaining foundational understanding of networking concepts relevant to enterprise infrastructure.
• Assisting with documentation of processes standards and system configurations.
• Shadowing engineers to learn automation with tools such as Ansible and scripting in Bash/Python.
• Supporting incident triage by monitoring alerts performing initial checks and escalating issues appropriately.
• Observing and gaining exposure to enterprise cloud (Azure) and container technologies.
• Collaborating with team members to understand infrastructure management in a highly regulated financial services environment.

Early Careers Requirements

• Pursuing a relevant bachelors degree course from an accredited university
• Finishing university by August 2026
• Available for a January 2026 start on a full-time 6-month program
