Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations upgrades troubleshooting maintenance and repairs and/or solicits proposals for work on low voltage control circuits up to 480V for various systems MCCs MDPs emergency generators transfer switches transformers VFDs and PLCs.
- Develop parts lists submit orders establish timelines and direct support staff for project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety codes NEC and local regulations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and schematics.
- Collaborate with mechanics fabricators and team members on projects.
- Use hand tools power tools and ohmmeters efficiently.
- Assist with general shop and non-electrical tasks as needed.
- Maintain safe clean and organized work areas.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Participate in the sites Electrical Safety Team.
- Respond to electrical emergencies outside normal working hours.
- Adhere to GMP documentation and cleanroom work requirements.
- Coordinate work with the Planner/Scheduler to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of work orders and projects.
- Coordinate and implement sitewide power shutdowns for various systems.
- Supervise electrical system performance and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a formal electrical apprentice program or a 2- or 4-year electrical technical degree
- Five years of experience in electrical work in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of NEC local codes and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Proven experience acting in a lead electrician role and directing personnel activities
- Must be trained and practice safe work procedures and demonstrate knowledge of NFPA70E Lock Out/Tag Out Systems.
- Proven knowledge and working experience with building electrical utility generation and distributions systems MCCs/ MDPs emergency generators transfer switches transformers VFDs infrared scanning.
- Valid drivers license to travel between sites.
