Position Summary:
As a Linehaul Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient and timely movement of freight between company terminals. This position supports our linehaul and central dispatch departments by providing accurate information about incoming and outgoing freight. Additionally this role plays a critical part in daily planning and will work closely with terminal supervisors to execute the nightly linehaul plan. It also involves effectively communicating delays early arrivals or cancellations and quickly resolving issues to minimize disruptions to operations.
Start Time: 5:00 PM
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Providing high-volume telephone support
- Communicating with drivers and terminal leadership regularly
- Updating and maintaining the PC/mainframe based Dispatch System
- Conducting error checks to ensure the highest quality of service
- Compiling and maintaining various Line Haul reports
To be qualified for this position you must possess the following:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to think analytically and make data-driven decisions
Preferred but not required:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Transportation/Dock Leadership preferred
