Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. seeks a Material Handler II in Carlsbad for a key role in supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive intercompany transfers with precision ensuring accurate SKU lot and quantity.
• Complete putaways in four different temperature zones verifying SKU lot quantity and zone.
• Perform moves within our facility maintaining strict adherence to our outstanding standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure world-class operational efficiency.
• Obtain PIT certification Forklifts and Man-up
• Accurately handle inbound purchase orders in accordance to the SOP ensuring proper documentation such as Certificates of Analysis and correct expiration dates.
• Process intercompany receipts and create shipment paperwork using WMS.
• Perform basic inventory functions including receipts put-aways in four different temperature zones verifying SKU lot quantity and zone. returns to stock (RTS) and inventory management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in material handling or a related field.
• Ability to work in varying temperature environments.
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Comprehend and meet same-day delivery requirements as needed by the business
• Follow Distribution Work Instructions (WINs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) consistently.
• Use the First Report system to document hazardous identifications (haz ids) and any safety-related incidents or concerns.
