Job Description

Key position functions include:

  • Dismantle and prepare equipment for repair and inspection
  • Conduct dimensional inspections on products
  • Complete all reporting and documentation as required
  • Advise on and assist in creation of NCIRs for products and equipment
  • Perform hardness testing as required
  • Advise Engineering/Production of any missing requirements or issues with repairs (missing specifications inaccurate descriptions etc)
  • Review and approve equipment for final inspection
  • Inform Supervisor/Management of any irregularities with equipment
  • Correct equipment deficiencies within allowable tolerance using pneumatic and hand tooling as required
  • Organize and directly support farm-out inventory
  • Afterhours availability when required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

    • High School Diploma
    • Machine Shop Inspection Training / experience required (minimum 1 year) dimensional inspection hardness testing understanding of technical drawings
    • Understanding of basic trigonometry
    • A basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality
    • Experience with wellhead and valve equipment an asset
    • Strong mechanical aptitude a good work ethic and willingness to learn
    • Forklift experience an asset
    • Experience with wellhead and valve equipment an asset
    • Effective communication (oral and written) organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and maintain deadlines
    • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
    • Knowledge of ERP software such as SAP an asset
    • Strong commitment to workplace safety
