For more information please visit: Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Services (PSES) has significant oversight and involvement in the public security and emergency services through its various divisions and operations. The department is responsible for the administration of law enforcement correctional services policing and police oversight and public safety. The Ministry supports crime prevention and restorative justice programs as well as programs and services to support victims of crime including those affected by domestic violence and human trafficking. The Ministry also coordinates large scale emergency and disaster prevention mitigation preparedness response and recovery programs and initiatives through the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA).
The Executive Director leads modernization and digitization of service delivery to enhance client and partner experiences reduce administrative burden and support program sustainability. Responsibilities include continuous improvement of IT systems legacy system strategy system coordination and quality assurance. The role also oversees research and analytic functions that support government and departmental priorities delivering timely data products supporting policy and program development and building analytics capacity across the Ministry.
Qualifications
As Executive Director you bring extensive senior management experience and a proven ability to lead complex multi-site teams in a dynamic environment. Your leadership fosters a culture of innovation service excellence and continuous improvement. You are a strategic thinker and sound decision-maker with the influence and political acumen needed to navigate sensitive issues and drive results. You have a strong track record in managing centralized service delivery and developing strategy ideally within an information management and technology environment within a government setting. Experience in program implementation project management and stakeholder engagement is essential along with a demonstrated ability to build partnerships and facilitate integrated solutions across diverse perspectives. A bachelors degree in a related field is required along with seven years of management experience.
Salary
$5234.94- $6879.68 bi-weekly ($136631 - $179559 yearly)
