The Candidate will be required to manage field technicians in the day to day operations of the installation of hydraulic gearless and geared elevator modernizations. Actively participate in field surveys for prospective modernization and installation projects and be involved in the preparation of modernization proposals and bids. Must be able to determine the scope of work required and manpower needed to complete the project in a timely and profitable manner. Must have knowledge elevator equipment/parts and the ability to determine the correct part required for all aspects of a project and will be required to order these parts.
Additional responsibilities include:
Build a team environment by leading field technicians
Manage training and development of field technicians on established processes tools and standards
Foster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union
Assure that each modernization project meets Company quality and safety standards as well as all contract requirements.
Monitor job completion and drive efficiency
Implement customer and Company requirements for quality performance reliability and passenger safety for modernization projects
Support the local sales team in estimating modernization bids and investigating and resolving customer complaints
Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees
Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products services and procedures
Your Experience
BS/AS degree in Engineering Management Supervision or Business lieu of degree Journeyman Technician experience with minimum 5 years in field required.
Minimum 3 years experience in either the elevator industry construction industry or in a related building systems industry.
Prior experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred.
Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.
Computer proficiency required. Experience in Microsoft Office suite software Lotus Notes and SAP is preferred.
Must have ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
