The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services is looking for a Director of Sustainment to join the C-17 Program team. The Director will be able to join the team from the following Boeing sites: San Antonio TX or Warner Robins GA.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategically plan integrate and lead C-17 Sustainment Program requirements. Implement Program Management Best Practices to ensure performance to plan while providing technical cost schedule and performance oversight for program execution. Establish and communicate objectives and goals to ensure common direction and desired results. Develop and implement plans to communicate status performance issues and actions. Promote rapid resolution to issues and drive continuous improvements.
Strategic development integration and coordination across all functional teams such as Engineering Operations Supplier Management Finance Global Tech Ops Integrated Planning and Scheduling Boeing Global Services businesses with a high degree of technical understanding and linkage between commitments deliveries and domestic/international customer driven milestone requirements.
Direct leadership responsibility for ensuring customer requirements and the C-17 business plan objectives for the Globemaster III Sustainment contract and related Product Support Services are achieved.
Programmatic organizational and operational strategies that result in world class execution and exceptional customer satisfaction ratings.
Frequent customer contact with senior representatives of the U.S. Government and international customers which is key to maintaining a positive Boeing image developing a trusting customer partnership and gaining knowledge of customer requirements for execution.
Executing program operations and supply activities in support of daily fleet requirements
Accountable for sustainment of globally dispersed aircraft in multiple locations
Statement Of Work for this position spans across multiple phases of the C-17 contract within the Programs portfolio lifecycle stages and will span multiple complex contracts and major subcontracts contributing to new capabilities and platform sustainability; responsibilities include but are not limited to the air vehicle structures systems flight test and certification.
Responsibility spans across multiple geographically dispersed locations such as Texas California Georgia and multiple USAF Main Operating Bases as well as supplier and international partner locations.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Minimum 10 years of Program Management experience in large complex programs or organizational leadership roles
Minimum 5 years of experience in Senior Leadership role (within past 10 years) driving strategies and delivering keyprogram initiatives
Minimum 5 years of experience working directly with executives or senior leaders
Demonstrated experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
Concise verbal and written communications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Ideal candidate will have 15 to 20 years of Program Management experience in a matrix environment delivering sustainment services and solutions
Dynamic senior leadership experience in complex multi-year programs
Proven experience in driving compliant operational excellence
Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer relationships
Experience building positive relationships up/down and across enterprise-wide teams (domestic and international)
Experience with Earned Value Management
Experience with critical business and financial acumen including risk issue and opportunity management that drive performance outcomes
