Job Description

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant Emergency Float Pool

Location: Syracuse NY 13210

Duration: 3 Months

Shift: 12-hour shifts 6 shifts every two weeks Every other weekend required

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Emergency Float Pool team for a 3-month assignment. The CNA will provide essential patient care assist the healthcare team and ensure a safe supportive environment for patients across various units.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care including vital signs toileting bathing and feeding.

  • Serve as a safety companion for at-risk patients.

  • Respond quickly to changing patient needs and ensure safe care delivery.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote high-quality patient outcomes.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment.

  • Communicate effectively with patients families and staff.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across diverse patient populations.

  • Maintain professional development and uphold ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State CNA certification.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience.

  • Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.

  • Level 1 trauma hospital experience preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in Level 1 trauma hospital settings.

  • Minimum of 2 years providing ADLs (activities of daily living).

  • Prior experience as a patient safety companion.
