The Membership Services Specialists report to the Membership Services Manager and are part of the Wisconsin Public Radio and PBS Wisconsin Membership team.
The Membership Services Specialists will collaborate on executing and developing practices and workflows in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database that will support an exciting future for public broadcasting in Wisconsin.
A day in the life of a Membership Service Specialist includes but is not limited to: direct phone communication with our donors and audience members working with colleagues across the development team to reach fundraising goals processing financial transactions fulfilling thank you gift requests and serving as the voice of our organizations.
This position is Ongoing/Renewable.
These are full-time 40 hour a week positions. These positions typically work Monday-Friday and must be available for active phone hours which are 9am-4:30pm CT. Exact hours have some flexibility and may include some evenings and/or weekends for membership drives and special events.
The Membership Services Specialists must be open to the possibility of working overtime hours during on-air fundraising drives held 5-6 weeks per year including scheduled evening and weekend shifts. These evening and weekend shifts are scheduled based on staff availability and can be worked remotely.
These positions have the option of being hybrid with an expectation of 2-4 days per week in person in Madison WI. Some work may be performed remotely at an offsite non-campus work location. Please expect to be on site in Vilas Hall anywhere from 4-5 days a week for the first four weeks of employment for training purposes. Final schedule can be discussed in the offer stage but fully-remote candidates will not be accepted.
Remote work requires an approved flexiblework arrangement (FWA). A FWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee.
This position requires the ability to sit or stand at a desk and use a computer keyboard and mouse for several hours at a time and occasionally lift and carry heavy supplies up to 30lbs. Supplies can include boxes of merchandise print materials and event furniture (tables chairs easels).

Wisconsin Public Media Wisconsin Public Radio Membership
The Wisconsin Public Radio and PBS Wisconsin Membership Services Department is responsible for donor customer service donation management donor account maintenance and fundraising through on-air member drives mailing campaigns email and online campaigns door-to-door canvassing and telemarketing. The department plays an integral role towards our financial sustainability processing financial donations from various sources in a secure and accurate manner while advancing communication plans that ensure revenue retention and growth.
PBS Wisconsin and Wisconsin Public Radio are part of Wisconsin Public Media. The person in this position will be required to comply with the Wisconsin Public Media Code of Ethics: in addition to the UW-Madison code of ethics.

Since this position is full-time (40 hours per week) and in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) the pay will convert to an hourly wage with an expected pay range of $24.04 to $25.48 per hour. The annualized rate of pay expected will be between $50000 and $53000. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
