The candidate is a key player within the Portfolio Management Corporate Credit team supporting strategic enhancements and analysis to the portfolio management team. The candidate will focus on designing developing and implementing solutions for GRM in areas of portfolio reporting reporting and other risk initiatives.
The candidate will work closely with the business stakeholders to review and assess business needs for improved risk information and to help define enhancements to respond to business operational and management requirements. The candidate activities include data analysis business requirement solution determination and documentation and supporting system enhancement development and implementation. Is this role right for you In this role you will:
- Work with the Director Senior Managers and the leadership team to develop strategic opportunities for the design development and implementation of new solutions or enhancements by:
- Developing and implementing strategies for increasing the effectiveness and quality of Corporate Credit portfolio management reporting/analytics to senior management.
- Receiving business requirements and assess data availability and risk management to determine the right delivery approach
- Ensure timeline and delivery commitments are tightly managed and aligned with reporting or project deliverables
- Effectively manage operational risk and change with a continuous focus on process optimization and improvement.
- Responsible for the development and production of monthly and quarterly Corporate Credit portfolio management reports.
- Be able to identify and explain variances to management and regulators.
- Enhance reporting capabilities by improving analytical programs. The incumbent is responsible for developing new augmented analytics required to support Corporate Credit portfolio management including collaborating with Corporate Credit teams and Risk Reporting & Analytics to develop new reporting/analytics.
- Test enhancements / changes to existing data sources and identifying monitoring and
- communicating data quality issues
- Automate and test new reports revising reporting as necessary.
- Develop and write queries (that are suitable and scalable) for big data build models and ensure data is accessible to team members and the data sets are working smoothly.
- Expected to distill technical details into business terms (e.g. connects the dots) enabling fact based and data-driven decisions for business stakeholders. Adheres to Business Intelligence framework and methodology.
- Able to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate root causes/drivers.
- Running ad-hoc queries for internal stakeholders.

The incumbent must have experience and knowledge of big data complex data models testing problem solving and data analysis experience in order to work cross functionally within an environment of multiple data repositories multi-systems multi-architectures and multi-business lines. Particularly excellent knowledge and experience in the following areas are essential:
- A minimum of three or more years of progressive relevant and practical experience with world class organizations preferably with financial institutions in information management fields and a proven track record of success in implementing effective information systems that support and generate profitable and informed decision-making in the financial services sector.
- Independently resolve and document complex problems to meet business objectives
- Create document and execute complex test cases.
- Continuously build expertise in Banks risk management applications
- Provide on-going support to our partners and business stakeholders.
- Assist with project management coordination and post-implementation support.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and action plans.
- Handle large datasets from diverse sources
- Innovative by devising novel solutions that will streamlines processes and improve effectiveness.
- Ability to influence and secure co-operation assistance from other departments.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills - to present findings / results to business leaders.
- Results driven individual with high level of curiosity and ability to dive into details without losing sight of the big picture
- Knowledge of project and process management disciplines.
- Strong time management skills ability to multi-task while being results oriented and team focused.
- Experience effectively working in a global matrix team across a range of functions seniority and geography.
- A broad range of cross-functional business industry and functional knowledge is required to integrate technical solutions with business requirements.
- A strong knowledge of the Banks policies & processes technical platform applications and financial information systems would be an asset.
- Effective research and analysis of business requirements and functional specifications leading to the completion of complex functional specifications or External Design Documents.
- Perform analysis and evaluation of options alternatives and system capabilities.
- Experience in data analysis data modeling and working with relational or dimensional databases.
- Experience with SQL Power BI is preferred; knowledge of BI Tools and cloud platforms is an asset
