What youll do:

  • Lead and manage the planning execution and completion of external audits of financial statements ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards
  • Supervise audit teams provide coaching and development opportunities and ensure high-quality and timely deliverables
  • Identify and assess financial statement risks through detailed audit procedures and substantive testing applying professional judgment
  • Evaluate clients internal controls and risk management frameworks to support robust audit conclusions
  • Prepare and review clear and concise audit reports and communicate findings effectively with clients and senior stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit efficiency quality and client experience
  • Build strong client relationships proactively resolving complex accounting and audit issues and advising on best practices

What were looking for:

  • Extensive experience (typically 5 years) in external audit preferably with exposure to Energy Utilities & Resources or similar sectors
  • Progress towards or completion of a recognised CA or CPA qualification
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop audit teams effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound professional judgment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • In-depth knowledge of auditing standards financial reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements with a commitment to continual learning
