Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking several Resident Assistants. - Boca Raton FL.
The Resident Assistant (RA) is a live-in student staff member who serves as a peer educator in their community by building relationships with residents fostering community through individual engagements and events and promoting a safe and secure living environment.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing personal relationships with each resident in their assigned community.
- Engage in one-on-one interactions to encourage residents to reflect on their experiences and learning.
- Plan lead and attend community gatherings to create environments where everyone thrives.
- Facilitate roommate agreements that foster respectful relationships and help resolve conflicts.
- Promote a safe and secure living environment by enforcing university and residence hall policies and responding to incidents.
- Must attend an information session.
Minimum Qualifications:
FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (twelve if international) or graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (nine if international). A minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA required.Salary:
