New opportunity for anAccounts Payable Junior Specialistbased in our Porto location Portugal Business Support Center (BSC).
Responsibilities
AP Junior Specialists support day-to-day operations in guidance of Specialists / Senior Specialists and Team Leader. Supports on assigned process activities. Assist Specialists and Senior Specialists as needed and where appropriate.
- Execution of operational sub-process according to Team needs Recording of PO and non-PO invoices trigger approvals;
- Block/unblock invoices on request;
- Ensure invoices are ready for payment (processed and fully approved) in time support on prioritizing critical suppliers;
- Support on SOX controls as requested;
- Assist on AP reconciliations and period end close activities;
- Proactive resolution of day-to-day issues and escalate service incidents to Senior Specialist;
- Actively look for opportunities to build knowledge around particular activities and task
Qualifications
- BSc. degree on Accounting or Finance or similar;
- entry level and/or experience (0-2 years of experience);
- Good understanding of Accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes (preferable);
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals;
- Good adaptability openness and quick perception;
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to work on initiatives;
- Organizational skills be open-minded and receptive to change Actively search for new learning opportunities;
- Ability to assess situations to determine the importance urgency and risks support the team on making decisions;
- Self-reliance and ability to escalate appropriately;
- English (B2) mandatory - additional language is a plus German/French/Spanish/Dutch/Italian (B2);
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written and oral English - and additional language if applicable;
- MS Office knowledge with good Excel skills;
- Basic knowledge of SAP ERP is a plus.
