After significant consultation UNSWs Academic Calendar will be shifting from the 3 model to a flex-semester model in 2028. The University is now undergoing the planning and implementation phases to ensure a smooth transition for all staff and students by 2028. The role will focus on degree programs recognised by external authorities such as the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) the NSW Architects Registration Board the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) and the Australia Institute of Quantity Surveyors. These programs have additional requirements to which they must adhere to be formally recognised by these governing bodies.
About the position:
The Project Officer plays a key role within the Faculty of Arts Design & Architecture in providing practical and analytical project support for the Academic Calendar Transition Project with a focus on externally accredited programs. The role will work closely with Heads of School Deputy Heads of School Program Directors and School Managers to develop and monitor project activities ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and engage internal and external stakeholders throughout the transition.
