Job Summary
Mechanical Engineering Project Engineer
MCW Maricor is seeking a Professional Mechanical Engineer to lead project teams on a variety of innovative projects. The successful candidate will deliver projects on time on budget and to client expectations. Join our Atlantic team and contribute to cutting-edge energy efficiency projects across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure project timelines budgets and quality standards are met for all clients.
- Prepare concept designs load calculations schematics equipment selection and system concept reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants/architects.
- Prepare contract documents including specifications.
- Conduct site visits during construction and collaborate with field review teams.
- Ensure ASHRAE compliance and LEED standards where applicable.
- Update project schedules regularly and provide status reports to the Project Manager.
- Evaluate shop drawings and escalate resource issues as required.
- Assist in sourcing new work and maintaining existing client relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Building Systems).
- Professional Engineering (.) designation.
- 5 years of engineering and/or design coordination experience in consulting.
- Experience in multi-discipline project coordination and management.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is an asset.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles project management practices and Canadian/American standards.
- Experience conducting site visits is an asset.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to non-engineers and executives.
- Excellent time management project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong independent judgment analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures effectively.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $105000 $135000 commensurate with experience and skills.
- Full benefits package and vacation included.
