Curant Health is searching for a POS ShippingTechnician to join its team in Smyrna GA. This position is primarily responsible for managing the point of sale operations within the pharmacy. As a secondary function assists in the shipping department to increase efficiency and supports with reporting duties as required. This position serves as a link between patient physician and pharmacy by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
With your passion to help patients your drive to make an impact on those you care for and your commitment to customer service you will serve as the primary link between our patients physicians and pharmacy. We have listed a few or your responsibilities below:
- Manages the point of sale area within the pharmacy department
- Processes payment correctly according to notes in the patient profile
- Ensures all standard documentation is included in patient package to include but not limited to supplementary information (e.g. New Patient Booklet) and proof of delivery if notated in appropriate notes
- Communicates with appropriate departments regarding declined credit card and follows up as instructed.
- Replenishes all supplies that are included in patient packages
- Achieves 98% or greater accuracy rate
- Have a general understanding of and perform in compliance with the current Specialty Pharmacy v3.1 URAC standards applicable to the position
Support shipping functions of the pharmacy:
- Selects appropriate vendor inputs shipping information and generates label for package
- Assembles orders and prepares / packs boxes for shipments
- Tracks and captures delivery of product and accurately transfers this data into an internal database
- Generate reports using shipping vendor and internal software to maintain accurate reporting of deliveries.
- Ensures tracking of all shipments to final destination.
- Processes all returns and works with shipping vendors to re-route shipments as necessary.
- Replenish all shipping supplies
- Receives pharmacy inventory and assists with stocking shelves in the pharmacy
Performs other function as assigned by manager:
- Under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist accurately fill prescriptions and assist with inventory management
- General administrative support
- Provide backup support to team members as needed phone support as needed.
- Assist in maintaining a clean neat and organized Pharmacy/warehouse which may include shredding sweeping vacuuming etc.
Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience or board certification.
- Experience in a mail order pharmacy environment preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA/ Patient Confidentiality Guidelines required
- Must pass criminal background screening and drug screen testing prior to employment.
