Department Overview
The Motorola Solutions Electrical Engineering team based in Schaumburg IL specializes in designing and developing world-class digital solutions for the Mission Critical Communications market including Public Safety. The Electrical Engineering development team develops state-of-the-art Digital RF Mechanical and Power Supply solutions to meet their customers needs.
Job Description
A summer internship position with a primary focus on digital HW design for Infrastructure products. The position seeks a highly motivated individual to work under the guidance of a seasoned professional to assist design analysis and validation of the RF Site product development.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Digital controller development and test support for Microprocessors Memory FPGAs and communication interfaces such as Ethernet and USB.
Circuit simulation of Electrical designs and utilizing the latest test equipment for circuit analysis and certification.
Automated test setup and execution using LABVIEW or Python scripting.
Bench-level testing using an Oscilloscope DC PS and multimeter is required.
Basic rework and soldering skills are desired.
Basic Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
Must graduate date on or after December 2026
Must be a US Citizen permanent resident or an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for master s-level students)
