Job Description

Join our dynamic team at ING and support our product family in delivering digital products across countries segments and business units in ING. We are a bank with data-driven ambitions working on digital innovations for INGs 37 million customers. Our departments purpose spans across all of ING we are there to service all countries and business entities.

As a Product Lead in Enterprise Content & Automation tribe you will play a crucial role in productization across our product areas supporting with service management and risk aspects and tribe wide communication channels.

The team

Product Leads in our delivery areas see all elements of a digital product come together the what and the how with an end-to-end responsibility. Several aspects around service management safe business (risk) our delivery routines and ceremonies and tribe wide communication we have centralized for efficiency and quality reasons. As the Product Lead for Support Processes Way of Working and Communication you will be a key member of our product family responsible for these generic aspects across areas. You hierarchically manage a team of 6 CJEs and you functionally also will steer on this topic the specialists across CTO (service managers and risk SPOCs) 1st line risk (Safe Business Officer) and across two primary delivery locations (NL and BE). The day-to-day contract management of several large business suppliers (paper production postal marketing materials and related workpackages) is within your remit.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Running managing and delivering capabilities that enable our digital product areas productization and consumption across ING
  • Boosting Agile implementation and continuous improvement (Azure SNOW ACE set-up are part of your teams responsibilities). Including the facilitation of Product Family level meetings and routines (weekly Obeya quarterly QBR etc.).
  • Define the vision for your services collaborate with peers in other areas of our tribe but also other departments in ING we interact with (Procurement Service Management Data Privacy Office Compliance)
  • Create and maintain cross-cultural collaboration by creating awareness respect & FUN
  • Hierarchical manager for 5-7 Product Managers (CJE) within your area.
  • Strengthen the ING way of working while safeguarding the Orange Code as a role model. As a manager you are able to balance a level of autonomy in your team with concrete and time-bound targets

Product Lead is an exciting position that requires a strong profile. Therefore we are looking for a candidate with the following skills/experiences:

  • Understanding the requirements of key stakeholders and customers with respect to supporting processes (service management risk) and our delivery Way of Working. Thorough understanding of relevant policies and procedures is a pre.
  • Expertise in driving and inspiring multidisciplinary teams as a manager you play an active role in the well-being and engagement of employees and the development of their craftsmanship. Ability to steer based on functional lines and across multiple delivery locations (NLBE) with attention for cultural and organisational differences is a pre.
  • Strong customer focus (structured) processes are important but tangible business value has to be the corner stone
  • You have a strong resilience and can navigate through ambiguity
  • Owner of a Masters or Bachelors degree
  • Ability to spend part of your time in locations across Amsterdam and Leeuwarden where the teams are also spread across and on occasional basis also in Brussels and ING Hubs locations.
  • Proven experience and strong affinity with the ING Agile Way of Working is a plus
