About the Role

The Community Legal Educator Coordinator leads the design delivery and evaluation of Community Legal Education (CLE) across the Northern Territory. With a focus on the Night Patrol CLE program youll ensure education is accessible culturally responsive and outcome driven.

This is a leadership role where youll guide a skilled team build strong relationships with communities and help shape best practice CLE delivery in both urban and remote settings.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement NAAJAs CLE plan in line with strategic goals and funding agreements
  • Lead and support a team delivering innovative community-based legal education
  • Build connections with communities and Law and Justice groups tailoring CLE to local needs
  • Oversee CLE publications workshops and digital resources
  • Ensure quality control reporting compliance and best practice delivery
  • Represent NAAJA in external forums and champion the role of CLE in justice reform

What Youll Bring

  • Diploma/degree in law or equivalent experience in the justice system
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven experience in community engagement and cross-cultural communication
  • High-level knowledge of NT civil and criminal justice systems
  • Understanding of best practice CLE delivery in the NT context
  • Commitment to NAAJAs cultural competency framework
  • Willingness to travel including to remote communities
  • NT Ochre Card (or ability to obtain) criminal history clearance and NT drivers licence
