12-24 hrs/week day shift 7a-7p every third weekend and every third holiday rotation.

Base pay $21.93/hr plus applicable shift differentials. Benefits eligible.


Job Description Summary:


Provides emergency medical services and treatment to Emergency Department (ED) patients. Evaluates and stabilizes patients in accordance with hospital and departmental policy.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Assesses the patients condition and provides appropriate emergency medical care monitoring and adjusting treatment as necessary.
  • Administers medications and performs advanced medical procedures as directed by ED nursing staff or the physician.
  • Assists with the transport of patients between the ED and other NCH medical facilities.
  • Maintains and operates equipment and supplies needed for emergency care.
  • Collaborates with staff outside vendors consultants and physicians to ensure quality patient care.
  • Maintains and reports accurate patient care documentation.

Education Requirement:

As required by listed licensure and/or certification requirement.


Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

  • Certified by the State of Ohio as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required.
  • Current CPR Certification. BLS for healthcare provider required.
  • PALS within 18 months of hire required.

Skills:

Effective communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills.


Experience:

  • One year of pediatric patient care experience required.
  • One year of field experience as Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic preferred.
