The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Cross-Platform Communications: Support America 250 communications across platforms including the Supreme Court website and Center Source. Interact with Court staff to identify new opportunities.
Content Development: Assist with researching interviewing writing and editing stories for a large audience including the judicial and legal community public and news media. Articles include assigned judge features Supreme Court events and initiatives and stories from courts and the judiciary across the state. Interns will also be writing about case and decision summaries in a way that is compelling and accessible
Event & Program Planning: Contribute to off-site court planning and logistical preparations among other duties
Research & Analysis: Conduct research on media markets and geographic coverage areas among other fact-finding projects
STAFF SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
This internship is designed to be part-time (20 hours per week) beginning after January 1 2026 and ending before May 1 2026. Applicants must have the ability to schedule most on-site hours in Columbus between 8:00 am 5:00 pm weekdays (scheduling is flexible within these hours). If your university program offers credit for internships we will try to tailor the internship to the length/hours desired. The position is unpaid.

The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking two Interns for the Public Information Office. The Public Information Intern supports the Office of Public Information by assisting with cross-platform content research event planning and feature article development.
What were looking for
Undergraduate or graduate student. Experience writing in a variety of formats (media release magazine style news article social media website internal communication) for a variety of audiences is a plus. All styles will be coached during the internship. Excel experience preferred.
