Location:Guadalajara Mexico (Onsite / Hybrid)
Reports To:Senior Manager North America Payroll

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detailed-orientedPayroll Analystto support payroll operations across theUnited States. This role demands a solid understanding of U.S. labor wage and taxation laws and will play a key role in executing accurate and timely payroll processing ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and partnering with internal teams on system enhancements reporting audits and data integrity initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong proficiency in ADP GlobalView advanced Excel and data analysis skills and fluency in both English and Spanish. This position is based in Guadalajara Mexico.

This role goes beyond payroll processing. You will serve as a strategic partner across the organization implementing process improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams including HR Accounting Tax Legal and external service providers. Your ability to manage recurring assignments while contributing to special projects and addressing complex developments will be essential to success.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operationalizing payroll in dynamic fast-paced environments withU.S. payroll experience. You should be highly organized deadline-driven and motivated to proactively support compliance and champion continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

  • Process end-to-end biweekly and semi-monthly payroll runs according to federal and state wage-and-hour laws.

  • Validate earnings deductions taxes benefit contributions and final pay.

  • Review payroll inputs from HRIS Time & Attendance (Workday Time Tracking) and manual adjustments.

  • Reconcile payroll prior to submission and validate output files after processing.

System & Data Management

  • Act as a liaison between Payroll HRIS and IT to support system configuration testing and optimization.

  • Maintain accurate employee payroll data across HRIS and vendor platforms.

  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system releases enhancements and integrations.

  • Identify automation opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc payroll reports including registers GL files tax reports and reconciliation documents.

  • Support HR Finance and Tax teams with payroll data for audits budgeting and planning.

  • Track payroll KPIs such as error rates processing timeliness and compliance performance.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure payroll processing follows federal and state regulations (IRS DOL state unemployment agencies wage-and-hour requirements).

  • Maintain audit documentation and support year-end processing including W-2 preparation and validation.

  • Stay updated on legislative changes affecting payroll and implement required updates.

  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of U.S. payroll experience with expertise in full-cycle payroll.

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws wage regulations and payroll taxation.

  • Proven experience with multi-state payroll operations.

  • Prior experience with ADP GlobalView highly preferred.

  • Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups pivot tables).

  • High attention to detail problem-solving ability and confidentiality.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-growth environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
