Job Description
The school is seeking a highly effective General Science Teacher for a permanent full-time role at a respected Independent School in Haringey commencing in January 2026. This position involves teaching balanced Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 ensuring students establish a strong foundational knowledge for future specialisation.
The school requires a committed scientist capable of delivering rigorous engaging lessons that establish a strong foundation for future specialisation.
Responsibilities
- Teach high-quality balanced Science lessons covering Biology Chemistry and Physics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Utilise practical demonstrations and experimentation to make scientific concepts engaging and clear.
- Build students scientific literacy and analytical skills preparing them thoroughly for GCSE examinations.
- Track student progress diligently implementing timely support where necessary.
- Contribute actively to the Science facultys co-curricular programme promoting scientific interest across the school.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant Science degree.
- Proven experience teaching all three sciences (Biology Chemistry Physics) up to GCSE level.
- Excellent technical knowledge and a commitment to practical science delivery.
- Strong classroom presence and effective organisational skills.
- A commitment to professional development and collaborative practice.
