Job Summary
A thriving secondary school in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology ECT to join their dynamic department from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent opportunity ideal for an Early Career Teacher who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive and high-achieving environment. The successful candidate will teach DT across KS3KS4 and contribute to the schools innovative approach to technical education.

Ambitious secondary school in Reading with strong DT provision
Teach DT across KS3KS4 with mentoring and induction support
Opportunity to contribute to projects clubs and competitions
Experience and Qualifications
PGCE in Design Technology with QTS (or due to be awarded QTS by January 2026)
Knowledge of specialist areas such as Product Design Graphics or Resistant Materials desirable
Strong subject knowledge with a passion for engaging students in technical learning
Commitment to continuous professional development and teamwork
Legal right to work in the UK
