The Vitals: What Youll Be Doing

This full-time role is designed to provide you with the perfect foundation for your teaching career focusing on skill development and effective classroom practice under the guidance of experienced mentors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Delivery: Teach Mathematics effectively across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and GCSE (KS4) building foundational knowledge and fostering enthusiasm for the subject.
  • ECT Induction: Fully participate in the schools bespoke ECT Induction Programme attending regular training sessions and engaging in reflective practice.
  • Curriculum Engagement: Plan and prepare engaging lessons adapting resources to meet the diverse needs of all learners and utilizing data to monitor student progress.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with your assigned departmental mentor and the wider Maths team to share ideas receive feedback and continually refine your pedagogy.

Candidate Profile: What Were Looking For

This role is specifically for a newly or recently qualified teacher with a passion for Maths and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualification: A degree in Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Certification: Hold or be expecting to successfully complete Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) upon taking up the post.
  • Status: Must be eligible to begin or continue the Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction period.
  • Skills: High potential as a classroom practitioner excellent communication skills and an eagerness to learn and contribute to school life.
