Job Posting: Collections Clerk (Vancouver)
Our client a well-established professional services organization in Vancouver is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collections Clerk to join their accounting team. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and professional environment where accuracy efficiency and client service are a priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable including monitoring overdue accounts and outstanding balances.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding outstanding amounts.
- Maintain accurate records of communications payments and transactions.
- Process payments and update account records accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to collections and debt recovery. Initiate legal action when required.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to review records and detect discrepancies.
- Skilled in negotiating payment plans and settlements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
Experience Preferred
- 3 5 years of collections experience preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with legal billing systems is an asset.
