Job Summary

Role: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Calabasas CA It will be hybrid 4 days a week on-site and 1 day remote.
Duration: Contract to hire

Qualifications

Required

7 years of professional experience in data engineering across cloud and hybrid environments.
Expert in SQL (Snowflake Azure Synapse Oracle SQL Server) and Python for pipelines APIs and automation.
Proven success designing and scaling platforms on Snowflake Databricks Microsoft Fabric Gen 2 and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Strong hands-on experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow/MWAA Azure Data Factory dbt).
Demonstrated mastery of Terraform/IaC serverless AWS & Azure architectures Docker/Kubernetes.
Strong DevOps background (CI/CD pipelines Git branching strategies automated testing infrastructure-as-code).
Familiarity with enterprise governance RBAC metadata lineage and compliance frameworks.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Datadog Prometheus Grafana Kibana Azure Monitor).
Ability to debug and resolve complex data issues spanning multiple systems.

Preferred

Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud integrations and identity resolution.
Background in finance systems revenue recognition or high-volume payment processing.
Hands-on exposure to Iceberg/Delta tables and advanced data lakehouse architectures.
Experience optimizing Snowflake Synapse and Databricks clusters for cost efficiency.
Familiarity with AI/ML-driven analytics predictive modeling or real-time inference workflows.
Prior experience in travel hospitality or consumer-facing industries.
