This role is required to be on-site and will be based out of Calgary AB or Saskatoon SK.

TheSr. Buyer Corporate Procurement role is a pivotal role to achieve our goals of sourcing excellence. This position represents a critical member of the buying team supporting purchasing execution and cost management across Corporate functions across Canada and the US (IT HR Finance Corporate Strategy & Development Corporate SH&E). This role will primarily support the daily requirements of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes including purchase order processing and P2P reporting.

What you will do:

Support Corporate purchasing execution and cost management across Corporate functions.
Manage and improve purchasing processes across Corporate offices for categories such as IT Software IT Hardware Professional Services Aviation Facilities Services & Equipment.
Lead tactical sourcing and contracting initiatives.
Procure goods and services in accordance with Procurement policies methodology and procedures.
Design and maintain P2P reporting including volume & value of POs processed PR-PO processing time etc.
Advise end-users on appropriate spend channels and identify optimization opportunities.
Identify potential synergies and cost reduction by leveraging scale and volume for purchasing across Corporate offices and identifying improvements in purchasing processes.
Participate in P2P standardization project and act as P2P SME on other projects as required.
Support and resolve complex invoice issues including proactive review of statement of accounts for Tier 1 (high spend critical) suppliers.
Provide Procurement advice and education to end-users.
Escalate high-value transactions with no sourcing event or Agreement to appropriate Sr. Manager.

What you will bring:

Bachelors degree in Commerce Supply Chain Management Finance or a related field.
Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM).
6 years of procurement experience including tactical sourcing contracting high volume Purchase Order (PO) processing.
Experience with procurement of IT Software IT Hardware and Professional Services.
Expert knowledge of ERP Systems - SAP ECC and Oracle.
Experience with SAP Ariba.
Knowledge of P2P automation tools and processes.
High degree of ethics discretion honesty fairness and sound business practices to secure and maintain Nutriens reputation in the market.
