JV Girls Basketball CoachMt. BlueHighSchool
JobGoal(s):The Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for leading the JV team and supporting the overall girls basketball program. This position emphasizes developing fundamental skills preparing athletes for varsity competition and fostering a positive inclusive and competitive environment. The coach works under the direction of the Varsity Head Coach and collaborates closely to ensure program consistency and success.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of basketball rules techniques and strategies.
The coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes throughhis/her instructions and actions.
Performance Responsibilities
Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by theMt. Blue DistrictSchools Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation.
Has knowledge of existing system state and league regulations.
Education
The coach must be at least 20 years of age or a high school graduate.
Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of basketball is preferred as well asknowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures. Previous coaching experienceat youth or high school level. Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules. Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
Working Schedule
Flexible after school hours required for scheduledgames both home and away.
Travel Requirements
Travelto home and away games.
Reports To:Head Coach/Director of Athletics / Building Administration
Terms of Employment: As determined annually by the District.
Evaluation:Completed annually byDirector of Athletics
