Job Summary
As an AVP of Product Delivery at United Wholesale Mortgage you will play a key role in advancing our enterprise applications in a fast-paced agile environment while working collaboratively with our IT and business teams. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with the entire software development life cycle and have the demonstrated ability to control work scope and timeline to assure the delivery of business value. A track record of success in incremental agile delivery is a must.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Collaborate with IT leaders and team members to refine execution practices of Product Managers Product Owners Scrum Masters and Business Architects to optimize the flow of business value through the delivery pipeline
- Provide active coaching and mentorship to direct reports in alignment with larger agile practices and company culture & values
- Establish productive positive relationships with key stakeholders and leaders across technology & business areas
- Partner with technology and business leaders to execute transformation initiatives
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
- Work with a high sense of urgency providing timely updates to technology and business stakeholders on process and execution progress
- Develop Agile transformation roadmaps and plans in a consultive manner while collaborating with IT and business leadership
- Take complex subjects bring clarity and ultimately drive to decisions. Operate in a highly collaborative yet decisive and results-oriented manner.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Minimum 5 years IT leadership experience with focus on a product delivery mindset.
- A strong organizational leader who is comfortable leading in a matrixed environment.
- Think strategically and creatively about IT business problems breaks down problems and presents solutions while evaluating the pros and cons of each option. Identify opportunities by delivering thoughtful analysis with strong logical thinking.
- A transformational leader with conviction who is able to help others adopt and implement new strategies within a large matrixed organization.
- A proven ability as an effective and compelling communicator in both small and large audience settings.
- Successful experience collaborating with Product Managers Product Owners and Scrum Masters to deliver business value.
- Strong understanding of agile execution patterns and track record of successful agile execution.
- Experience establishing execution standards using established principles and metrics.
