Position Summary
As a Technical Product Manager you will be responsible for managing products across the full product life cycle with a strong emphasis on software integrations with external partners. You will leverage your technical expertise and communication skills to lead by influence collaborating across internal technical teams and external partner organizations. Your role will require guiding cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet the needs of customers in target markets with a focus on integration projects and technical partnerships. You will engage with customers and external partners to understand integration requirements and market problems becoming the subject matter expert for your products and their technical ecosystem. You possess a blend of business acumen and deep technical understanding including a big-picture vision and the ability to translate that vision into actionable product strategies. You will spend time in the market and with partners to identify integration opportunities and collaborate with your team to deliver innovative solutions. You will analyze enhancement requests to understand the underlying business and technical problems then work with your team to deliver solutions that delight customers and partners.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product life cycle with a focus on software integrations with external partners from prototyping and validating new concepts to sunsetting legacy products
  • Act as the voice of the market and partners to the rest of the organization
  • Lead technical integration projects coordinating requirements and deliverables between internal development teams and external partner organizations
  • Leverage market research customer feedback partner input industry trends and competitive analysis to identify opportunities to build and improve your products
  • Create user stories and technical requirements for current and future products based on partner integrations and the underlying market problems youve identified
  • Collaborate with other product managers and technical leads to ensure alignment across products and integration initiatives
  • Partner with Sales Marketing Client Services and external partners to implement go-to-market plans for your initiatives
  • Generate and socialize product performance reporting including integration success metrics to help the organization understand why your products are winning or losing in the market
  • Champion and execute the vision and strategy for growing your products with a focus on technical excellence and integration capabilities

Education and Experience

  • 5 years as a Product Manager with at least 3 years in a technical product management role focused on software integrations or technical client services in an Agile environment
  • Bachelors degree in computer science software engineering business or a related field
  • Experience working with software development teams and external technical partners
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile development principles
  • Track record of data-driven prioritization and decision-making
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate the goals of a product or feature to internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Experience in certified payroll or regulatory compliance a plus
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment and role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones mobile devices photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Requirements

While performing the functions of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk and hear use hands and fingers to type scroll and use computer equipment. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position in office based in Orange CA. Days/hours worked are dependent on the workload at the time. General availability and presence in the office is expected during regular business hours Monday-Friday. However some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

There is no major travel requirement for this position. However infrequent travel may be necessary to visit clients travel to other LCPtracker office(s) attend conferences/industry events etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat. Attendance at our annual User Conference as assigned.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $100000.00 - $115000.00 annual salary benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
