This is a position in the Facilities Maintenance organization with responsibility for ensuring that the facilities infrastructure and building operations equipment continue to operate in a safe and effective manner while moving towards the goal of no unplanned downtime of the Reuter Stokes facility.

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for maintaining/troubleshooting and solving technical issues and opportunities pertaining facilities operations.
• Responsible for monitoring the condition of the buildings utility systems and the general operation of facilities equipment.
• Assist senior technicians with their projects and day-to-day responsibilities.
• Perform general labor throughout the facility.
• Responsible for performing preventive maintenance tasks.
• Recommend spare parts to keep on-hand that if not available could potentially impact our customers ability in meeting their commitments.
• Be willing to participate in any aspect / component of facilities maintenance.
• Assist in the monitoring of services provided by outside contractors ensuring EHS policies are followed.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

• High school diploma.
• 1-year experience in facilities preventative maintenance ideally in electrical HVAC construction and/or plumbing.
• Possess a mechanical aptitude in and out of work
• Have commercial/industrial building maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively work with a variety of teams within the facility as well as independently.
• Off shift periodically be on call roughly 1 week/month. Also willing to work overtime as needed.
• Innovative - willingness to learn and think creatively.

• Externally focused - able to consider customer needs and make a commitment to quality.
• Safety conscience with the ability to advance initiatives/ projects where maintenance support is needed.

• Capable of performing continuous physical labor throughout a normal workday.
• Have a flexible schedule and be willing to train for On-call Technician program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AA/AS degree in a technical field.
• Certified with Facilities Maintenance
• Possess knowledge in at least one of the building codes such as the NEC UBC NFC and UPC.
• Possess knowledge of multiple aspects of facilities such as boilers chillers refrigeration equipment pumps plumbing construction painting electrical switchgear generators along with the operation of natural and propane gas systems.
• Demonstrated abilities in analytical troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical problems
• Willing to work as an apprentice technician to senior tradesman (Millwright).
• Effective oral written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Customer orientated mindset.
• Proactive work ethics creativity energy.
• Welding machining carpentry & plumbing skills required
• Must have general knowledge of most power and hand tools.
