Kroll Settlement Administration part of Krolls Business Services division is the leader in cutting-edge technology and consulting services for class action mass tort regulatory remediation and government claims administration. As a settlement administrator we are responsible for notifying potential class members reviewing and processing claim forms filed by individuals and entities calculating losses auditing claims to determine the extent of the damages incurred and processing and distributing funds to eligible class members under the courts direction. As part of Kroll we employ nearly 5000 professionals in 30 countries and territories around the world.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

The primary role of the Director is to ensure that all cases assigned to teams or business lines they supervise within the organization are receiving the appropriate attention and direction from the Senior Managers they directly supervise. Directors have client facing responsibilities and are engaged in a variety of roles which may include providing project management during times of heavy volume and providing on-site support for specific activities. A Director has multiple areas for which they are accountable including but not limited to:

  • Leadership:Acts as a leader in the industry sharing best practices and knowledge with Senior Managers and their teams as needed. Oversees Senior Managers ensuring they are performing well and running their teams in a productive and motivating manner. Determines hiring needs and builds best-in-class client services teams.
  • Relationship Oversight:Ensures that cases assigned to teams within the organization that they supervise are being appropriately handled and that client expectations are met and exceeded; actively provides support and guidance when appropriate and escalates matters and issues to leadership for awareness; engages directly with clients and helps to define client needs internally to ensure an excellent client experience.
  • Operating Standards:Participates in the development and implementation of a set of standards by which all client service or operations team members operate. Work to create best in class procedures to ensure consistent high touch service delivery.
  • Corporate Culture:Works tirelessly to build internal as a role model and adheres closely to Kroll Values.
  • Entrepreneurial Orientation:Proposes innovative business opportunities/ideas to clients and team members; encourages and supports entrepreneurial behavior in others; demonstrates willingness to take calculated risks to achieve business goals while closely communicating to Senior Leadership for support and guidance.
  • Effective Decisions:Makes well-informed independent effective and timely decisions perceiving the impact and implications of those decisions to the projects and/or the business. Makes thoughtful recommendations to the Director and senior management.

Essential traits:

  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years in one or more of the following: claims administration financial services account management is strongly preferred.
  • Client services and/or project management experience with fiscal oversight responsibilities is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced excel.
  • Exceptional planning organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle pressure well.
  • Previous leadership experience with responsibility for supervisory duties (hiring developing nurturing teams).
  • Paralegal experience PMP or JD is highly desirable.
