Our Food & Nutrition Services team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for patients visitors and staff. We are currently seeking a friendly and reliable Cafeteria Cashier to join our team.
Position Summary
The Cafeteria Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while operating the cash register assisting with food service and ensuring a clean and organized cafeteria environment.
Responsibilities
Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner
Accurately process sales transactions handle cash credit and payroll deductions
Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and dining area
Assist with stocking food preparation and serving as needed
Follow food safety sanitation and infection control guidelines
Provide helpful information about menu items and daily specials
Support the Food & Nutrition Services team with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cashier retail or food service experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately
Reliable punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
