Position Summary:

This Senior Leader position involves managing the companys resources to improve productivity and minimize downtime while increasing profits and reducing costs. It consists of meeting goals creating workflow policies and procedures creating schedules and encouraging staff to put their best foot forward at all times so that the entire operation functions efficiently.

Essential Functions:

Adheres to safe work practices.
Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (custodians janitors etc.)
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
Share a trusting relationship with the workgroup and recruit manage and develop plant staff.
Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards metrics and performance targets to ensure an effective return on assets
Influence and learn from below
Oversees emergency response or crisis management activities
Assist the Safety department with training initiatives
Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts
Every decision you make impacts our bottom line.
Planned and executed production to fulfill all regulatory and SQF requirements.
Perform any other duties as required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Must have good written verbal organizational and communication skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Must have the ability to prepare and deliver presentations and speak at minor functions as a departmental representative.
Must be able to multitask prioritize and work independently or within a team environment.
Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical functions including concepts of introductory algebra and geometry.
Must be able to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity and reference policies and practices for guidance.
Knowledge of spreadsheets word processing presentation email and internet software applications.

Desktop or laptop computer.
Networked printer/ copier/ scanner.
Google Applications (Chrome Gmail Calendar Docs Sheets Slides Drive etc.)
Microsoft Office Products (Excel Word PowerPoint Internet Explorer)
Telephone and Voicemail.

Minimum Years of Experience:

Five years of divisional leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience typically demonstrated by a bachelors degree plus five years of experience or eight or more years of experience. Experience working in an organization of comparable size and complexity is required.
