POSTDOCTORAL OPPORTUNITY IN CARBON STORAGE RESEARCH AT OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY
Oklahoma State University is a recipient of a DOE grantfor creating a Carbon Management Hub in Oklahoma. We support fundamental research on observational experimental and modeling aspects of carbon storage. The PI of the grant Dr. Priyank Jaiswal seeks to expand his team by adding a Postdoctoral Fellow.
Responsibilities:
1. Model multi-phase flow in a mixed siliciclastic-carbonate reservoir.
2. Model wellbore circulation in closed and partially open conditions.
3. Publish research results in peer-reviewed publications.
4. Quarterly reporting and project administration.
5. Other research-related duties as assigned by the PI.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Petroleum Engineering Geophysics or equivalent field
Expertise with one or more multiphase flow simulators such as Eclipse CMG and Tough.
Proven publication record (peer-reviewed journal articles).
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of simulations for CO2 storage enhanced oil recovery or geothermal
Proven capacity for innovative creative scientific analysis.
Ability to give presentations to operators and to academic audiences.
Proven verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and effectively in a group.
Ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines including engineers data scientists and geologists.
Salary Range
$60000
The appointment is for 9 months with the possibility of an extension for a second year.
