Job Summary:
RTX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our team in India as part of the Best Cost Location (BCL) initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ABAP development with specific expertise in HCL iMRO and SAP Fiori. The role focuses on supporting the sustaining/depot area contributing to the development enhancement and maintenance of SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement SAP ABAP programs and enhancements in the sustaining and depot areas.
- Collaborate with functional Business System Experts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Work with HCL iMRO development team to support maintenance repair and overhaul processes.
- Develop and maintain SAP Fiori applications in the Sustain area ensuring seamless integration with backend systems.
- Debug and resolve system issues providing technical support to ensure smooth operations.
- Optimize existing ABAP code and perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and performance standards.
- Support system upgrades patches and other technical initiatives as required.
- Document technical designs processes and solutions in compliance with RTX standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related discipline.
- 10 years of related experience preferably in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
- 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Proven expertise in HCL iMRO with a solid understanding of maintenance repair and overhaul processes.
- Experience with SAP Fiori development including UI5 and OData services.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SAP modules relevant to the sustaining/depot area (e.g. PM MM SD QM).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a Best Cost Location (BCL) environment.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
