The Opportunity
Position Overview
As the Specialist In-School Programs you will coordinate the planning delivery and continuous improvement of in-school initiatives including STEM Clubs STEM Academy and workshops. You will work closely with Site Leads Program Facilitators and schools to ensure programs are well-resourced effectively delivered and aligned with VoSs curriculum expectations and learning goals.
Your work will be inquiry-driven equity-informed and designed to support youth in Grades 6 to 8 as they strengthen future-ready skills explore STEM and build brighter pathways for their learning and growth. This position balances program coordination with partnership support ensuring high-quality consistent delivery across multiple school sites.

- Job Location(s): This is a hybrid position based in Toronto Ontario with occasional in-office work at 71 Regent Park Boulevard schools across the Greater Toronto Area and remote work as applicable.
- Salary: The starting salary for this position is set at $60000 per year with opportunities for growth based on performance and organizational advancement.

Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate in-school STEM Clubs STEM Academy sessions and workshops including scheduling logistics facilitator support and resource preparation.
- Work with Site Leads to align day-to-day program delivery troubleshoot challenges and maintain consistency across sites.
- Support the adaptation of curriculum and activities to diverse school contexts ensuring sessions are engaging inclusive and aligned with VoSs curriculum expectations and learning goals.
- Ensure all materials supplies and equipment are organized and ready for each session or event.
School & Partner Coordination
- Liaise with principals teachers and administrators to confirm schedules manage logistics and strengthen school partnerships.
- Provide responsive communication and logistical support to schools Site Leads facilitators and community partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams on key program moments such as culminating showcases.
Program Monitoring & Improvement
- Track registration attendance and student feedback to monitor program effectiveness and outcomes.
- Support reporting and reflection processes that inform program development and decision-making.
- Coordinate special projects such as culminating showcases multi-school collaborations or pilot initiatives.
Team Support & Internal Coordination
- Manage internal calendars program trackers and communications to keep all in-school initiatives on schedule.
- Support the onboarding training and ongoing guidance of Site Leads and Program Facilitators.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence learning and innovation through initiative feedback and collaboration.
What Were Looking For
Education & Training
- Post-secondary education in education STEM or a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Required Experience & Expertise
- 35 years of experience in program coordination education or community-based initiatives ideally within STEM or youth-serving contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage logistics across multiple sites.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience supporting teams and building partnerships.
- Familiarity with equity-informed and inquiry-based approaches to education.
- Experience monitoring programs and reporting on outcomes.
- Proficiency with productivity and project management tools such as Google Suite and Asana.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for showcases family events or community programming.
Key Competencies & Skills
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to balance schedules logistics and resources across multiple schools.
- High level of organizational discipline and attention to detail.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to engage educators youth and administrators effectively.
- Ability to ensure programs are inclusive culturally responsive and aligned with equity-focused practices.
- Comfort with digital collaboration tools (Google Suite Microsoft Office Asana).
Preferred
- Background in STEM education curriculum development or inquiry-based learning.
- Experience mentoring or supervising staff or volunteers.
- Experience working in underserved school communities or knowledge of systemic barriers in STEM education.
- Familiarity with school board policies partnership development and in-school program logistics.
