Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of CT detectors. This role will be responsible for driving new designs as well as modifications and improvements with a strong focus on manufacturability and assembly. Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design activities for new CT detector development and design improvements
Ensure design quality by incorporating manufacturing and assembly process considerations
Drive cost-reduction initiatives and support manufacturing transfer projects
Plan and execute prototype assembly evaluation and reporting
Collaborate with international teams and suppliers to successfully deliver projects
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers

Qualifications / Requirements
10 years of professional experience in mechanical design
Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (e.g. Creo)
Proven track record in leading both new designs and design modifications
Experience in design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
Fluent-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills to drive global development work
Strong problem-solving skills technical curiosity and proactive mindset
Team-oriented adaptable and able to thrive in a global environment
Strong communication skills to work effectively with global teams and suppliers
