Credit Risk Review (CRR) is an independent group within Enterprise Risk Portfolio Management (ERPM) responsible for identifying risk at portfolio levels ensuring Risk Rating accuracy and evaluating effectiveness of credit management practices through ongoing reviews analysis and continuous monitoring of BMO US Operations Commercial and Retail credit portfolios.
Seeking to add another senior member to CRR Operations team which in addition to quality assurance is responsible for credit risk oversight & governance (including policies & procedures management reporting issue management and audit/exam liaison) business analytics technology data quality and data management as well as a variety of other Enterprise compliance activities. Team member will report to Director & Team Leader CRR Operations.
Responsibilities to include but not be limited to leading CRRs growing Quality Assurance program including supervision of QA Secondment rotational staff. Role will be accountable for delivering commercial and retail testing/assessments reporting results and facilitating necessary training and development for CRR staff. Role will also monitor CRR compliance with training hours requirements while also developing training resources and supporting new employees through learning plans. Sr. Manager will also be engaged in strategic planning cross training as well as collaboration on other operations activities.
A fully developed understanding of commercial and retail credit risk as well as experience operating in a 1LOD and 2LOD environment ideal.

Assists in the implementation maintenance and administration of a specific compliance program. Coordinates and performs risk assessment monitoring testing and surveillance activities to ensure program remains current and aligned with BMO Compliance Program. Works with business/group and internal partners to ensure regulatory corporate and fiduciary obligations are met. Advises business/group on implications of new regulatory developments or internal products and assists to implement new/revised policies and programs to address them. Identifies risks and implements appropriate actions to mitigate them. Develops and maintains compliance information for analysis and reporting. Achieves compliance goals by maintaining current knowledge of regulatory requirements and developments. Maintains functional and regulatory expertise specific to business group and refers to Compliance Policies & Procedures manuals for requirements. Contributes to business/group results by providing oversight and making recommendations that significantly impact the Banks ability to monitor regulatory compliance programs minimize operational risk and align with regulatory agencies.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location skills experience education and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
